Accepting Booking Requests
Learn how to review, accept, and manage incoming session requests from clients.
How Booking Requests Work
When a client books with you, here's what happens:
- 1Client selects a time from your availability
- 2You receive a notification about the request
- 3Review the request details and client info
- 4Accept or decline within 24 hours
Reviewing a Request
Each booking request shows:
Client Information
Name, profile, and any previous session history
Requested Time
Date, time, and session duration
Session Details
Subject and any notes the client provided
Payment Info
Session price and payment status
Accepting or Declining
Accept
- • Confirms the session
- • Client is notified
- • Added to your calendar
- • Payment is processed
Decline
- • Cancels the request
- • Client is notified
- • No payment charged
- • Time slot reopened
Response Time
Respond to booking requests as quickly as possible:
24-Hour Window
Requests automatically expire after 24 hours if not responded to. Expired requests hurt your response rate and may affect your visibility.
Communicating with Clients
You can message clients before accepting:
Ask Clarifying Questions
Get more details about what they need help with
Suggest Alternatives
Propose different times if the requested slot doesn't work
Set Expectations
Share what they should prepare for the session
Best Practices
- • Enable push notifications to respond quickly
- • Only decline if absolutely necessary
- • If declining, offer alternative times
- • Keep your availability up to date to avoid conflicts
- • Read client notes carefully before accepting
