How Availability Works
Each tutor sets their own weekly schedule:
Weekly Schedule
Tutors configure which days and times they're available each week
Time Slots
Available hours are divided into bookable time slots
Real-Time Updates
Availability updates automatically as sessions are booked
Viewing a Tutor's Availability
To see when a tutor is available:
- 1Open the tutor's profile
- 2Scroll to the "Availability" section or tap "Book a Session"
- 3Select a date to see available time slots
- 4Available slots appear in green, booked slots are grayed out
Timezone Handling
Profound automatically handles timezone differences:
Your Local Time
All times are displayed in your device's timezone automatically.
Tutor's Timezone
The tutor sees times in their timezone - we handle the conversion.
Example: If a tutor in New York is available at 2 PM ET, and you're in Los Angeles, you'll see it as 11 AM PT. No manual conversion needed!
Finding Available Times
Tips for finding the right time:
Book in Advance
Popular tutors fill up quickly - book at least a week ahead
Be Flexible
Check multiple days for more options
Off-Peak Hours
Mornings and weekdays often have more availability
Can't Find a Time?

- • Look for similar tutors who may have more openings
- • Set up a recurring session once you find a time that works
