How packages reach clients
Packages aren't just a price list — they're Profound's built-in marketing engine. Every active, approved package goes out through three channels automatically.
1. Public package directory
Every active, approved, and shareable package appears in the public directory at /browse/packages. Anyone — logged in or not — can browse, search, and tap into your package page.
What it looks like to clients
- Hero card with your featured image (or a category placeholder)
- Your name, profile photo, and primary expertise
- Package title, price, and savings vs. à-la-carte sessions
- Tap-through to the full package detail page with your bio + reviews
2. Interest-based match digests
Clients can opt in to receive curated packages that match their selected interests. We compare each client's interests against your package's Primary Expertise field — pick this carefully when you create or edit a package.
Weekly SMS digest
Top 1–3 matched packages, sent once a week to opted-in clients.
Monthly email digest
Up to 5 matched packages with hero images and CTAs.
Get the Primary Expertise right
Match digests use the package's primary expertise, not the package title. A “Mock Interview Bootcamp” tagged with primary expertise Software Engineering reaches clients who selected that interest — not clients searching for “bootcamp.”
3. Instagram ad promotion
Want to reach more clients than your existing audience? Any active package can be promoted as a paid Instagram ad in 2 minutes from the Grow tab. You set the budget, target location, and daily spend; we generate the creative, send traffic to your package page, and track every click.
When to consider promoting
- You just launched a new package and want immediate visibility
- You're entering a new geographic market
- Your match-digest reach is small (e.g., new niche expertise)
- You have capacity to take on 5–10 new clients
Tracking what's working
Each package page tracks views by source so you can tell which channel is driving traffic. Open any package detail page and scroll to Traffic activity to see:
Organic vs paid split
Direct + directory + match-digest taps vs. Instagram ad clicks.
Per-package counters
Roll up under Grow → Packages with totals by source and platform.
Ad delivery metrics
Impressions, reach, clicks, and CPC for every active campaign.
Maximizing reach
Add a featured image
Featured images are used everywhere — directory hero cards, match-digest emails, and ad creatives. Packages without one fall back to a generic category placeholder.
Pick the most specific Primary Expertise
Specific tags like “SAT Math” or “Postpartum Yoga” match fewer clients but with higher intent than “Tutoring” or “Yoga.”
Keep multiple packages active
A short starter pack + a deeper bundle gives clients a clear “try then commit” path. The directory shows all of them on your profile.
Boost your best converter
Watch which package gets the most organic traffic, then spin up an Instagram ad for it — you already know it converts.
What happens when I unpublish?
Unpublishing a package removes it from all three marketing channels:
- It's removed from the public directory immediately.
- It's skipped from upcoming match digests.
- Active Instagram ads pointing at it are paused so you don't pay for traffic to a hidden page.
You can re-publish anytime from the same toggle. Paused ads stay paused — resume them from the Grow tab.
